[-]Before you learn what a .net developer is, you should probably learn how to use Google[/-] :erm:
Hey guys I'm doing my first year of Software Dev and I'm really confused by what a .NET. Developer is and does could someone PLEASE clarify this for me. Thanks in advance
I prefer software engineer. Perhaps a starter person is just a developer.
Totally.Software engineer is in my mind beyond senior software developer. Too many people throw around titles without actually earning them. A software engineer really should be required to do more than just churn out code.

*sigh* I wait for the day when someone grows up.A .NET developer is a developer using the .NET framework (C#, VB.NET etc) as opposed to a Java Developer using [-]C# Beta[/-] Java
That'll be no fun*sigh* I wait for the day when someone grows up.

Why can't we just be programmers?
I've always felt the differentiation in title between programmer and developer was that a programmer purely codes whereas a developer is required to actually utilize some analysis/design skills. Engineer just seem pretentious.

Nonfactual? So just to be clear, a .NET developer does not use .NET?Mr.Zwaine: You can either accept Hamster's nonfactual fish or learn to fish for yourself.
