I'm using Mandriva 2005 limited edition at work as a squid proxy server. That's about it. When my new pc is built I'll have Mandriva 2008.1 installed as a third os, and will play with some in virtual machines.
I also like PcLinuxOS, used it as a live CD a few times.
But I here I must admit that I'm quite out of touch in the Linux world.
Ubuntu Desktop - laptop
Ubuntu server - nagios & cacti
SME Server - PDC server based on centOS
ipcop firewall - Firewall
endian firewall - Firewall
pfsense - Firewall BSD based firewall
ISPconfig - ISP control panel
Although i have tried and tested many distros, these are the ones i use everyday.
Kubuntu 7.10...in a VM atm. I need some Windows software and Games.
I'm glad I shelled out more $$ for a more expensive CPU though. Works like a charm with VMWare.
I plan on taking my external HDD to university soon though & download the zillion distros they have there. Then I'll try them 1 by 1 in the VM to find something that suits me.
