What PC Parts :(

Looks like ponder has got this covered, but I still keep my eye on this thread and you can still PM or ask me anything and I will be there to help.

Guaranteed you will be hearing from me again .

So you agree with the Potter combo and sapphire R9 380x etc?

This shopping around is making me doubt everything.

I know you only want the best bang for your buck, but trust me you won't regret either the i5 or i7 bundle from PotterH with a 4GB R9 380x.

Yeah that's exactly what I want. I don't want to be disappointed which I doubt I will be.

This PC needs to last a few years so want the best I can get now in my budget.

It will last you some time, my last PC lasted +- 8 years before I upgraded. you are getting really good parts.

It's just plain fscking scary! The biggest jump was from about Nov last year to date. Thank you Zumatello!

It really is something else.

So PotrerH has stock but he says they all used items. That's shouldn't be a problem hey?

OK I am going to order the GPU and PSU now, just want to confirm that these choices are the best choices still:

Sapphire R9 380X (in the R5k price range)

VS 550

Thanks.
Those are still the best for you to buy and i wouldn't worry about the parts from PotterH being second hand, they will be pretty close to new without actually being new.

Yeah not too concerned to be honest.

Now onto Headphones - anything you could recommend on TakeAlot perhaps (still have some vouchers) and also a mouse and keyboard?

Those really do come down to user preference. I have always been a big fan of Logitech mice, I use the G400s.

Is a more powerful PSU needed for my build?
I don't plan on upgrading that GPU for a very long time.

No it's not, the system under full load should maybe 450W depending on amount of drives etc.

I was thinking of these:

G430 - mainly as I can then use them with XBOX One too. Anything better in that price range?

Also need to find mouse and keyboard :(

I honestly have no idea, I use Logitech 5.1 speakers and a Logitech G400s mouse, you will have to wait for someone more knowledgeable about peripherals.

So a update.

Order has been placed for Sapphire R9 380X and Corsair VS 550 from Rebel Tech - just waiting for order to be confirmed.

All I need now is for PotterH to send me confirmation he has bundles so I can make payment on that.

The case, keyboard and mouse I will look on TakeAlot for as I still have vouchers.

Then I think that will be everything!
