GS4 is the way to go.

-Best camera in Android
-Incredible Display
-Very compact and lite build for a 5inch screen phone, it feels like it falls between the GS2 and GS3.
-Here in SA the GS4's are mostly 32GB variants
-Huge 2600mAh battery, great batt life
-Great performance especially with the latest ROMs
-Great after sales service by Samsung with ADH
-CPU/GPU 2nd ONLY to the Snapdragon S800, currently we don't have any phones here based on the S800.
-Tons of other awesome features.

Played with a Xperia Z on Sunday, wasn't that impressed, display was very dull compared to my GS4's even at the same brightness, Z seemed washed out, also the Z isn't as hand friendly as the GS4, its wider and with sharp edges, just not as great in-hand as the GS4.

Have to agree!!
Used both the Z and the One but S4 is still the best, and yes Z was on latest update.
They all very nice phones but all things considered S4 takes it.

GS4 is the way to go.

-Best camera in Android - Debatable. Poor low-light pictures
-Incredible Display - Colours are too saturated and images look unreal
-Very compact and lite build for a 5inch screen phone, it feels like it falls between the GS2 and GS3. - You are comparing it against it's own predecessors LOL! Get real.
-Here in SA the GS4's are mostly 32GB variants - Means nothing. So is the HTC One. The SD Card argument is irrelevant (unless, of-course, all of Samsung's bloatware is stopping you from installing apps on the internal memory)
-Huge 2600mAh battery, great batt life - Google S4 problems. The battery issues are all over the place
-Great performance especially with the latest ROMs - Flashing the phone with ROMs that remove all the "cool" advertised features?
-Great after sales service by Samsung with ADH - Meh

-CPU/GPU 2nd ONLY to the Snapdragon S800, currently we don't have any phones here based on the S800. - Refer 2 posts ago. Also the S600 variant isn't being offered by many providers here unless you buy it cash. The S600 chip is standard on the HTC One.
-Tons of other awesome features. - Features which are flashed out of the phone because the bloatware is pretty useless and takes up noticeable space and creating other issues.

Played with a Xperia Z on Sunday, wasn't that impressed, display was very dull compared to my GS4's even at the same brightness, Z seemed washed out, also the Z isn't as hand friendly as the GS4, its wider and with sharp edges, just not as great in-hand as the GS4.

Stop lying to people who may be seeking genuine, non-techie mambo-jumbo advise. The s4 is poorly built, very well marketed phone with plenty useless features, and plenty genuine issues. Many of the issues which, to fix, you'd have to replace Samsung's own out of box software.

At least Samsung gives updates to fix some problems and they sold millions of S4's so it's not bad as only some had problems.
Sony had problem with screen from start on all Z's and had to fix with update.
Couple things on Z:
Battery life is bad.
Camera not on par with S4,some people say it's better to compare it to S3 camera.
16 gig not enough sorry.
Screen still not as good as S4 or One.
To replace screen will cost a fortune and it does break.
Support and accessories for Sony no way near Samsung.
S4 all the way!!

If 3 options are given. S4, One, Z. I know you'd choose the S4 over the Z, but the S4 over the One?? Why oh why would you?

The S4 that 98% of people in SA doesn't even have LTE. I suppose that doesn't matter too?

In car terms you'd be unfair to the person asking for advice. You are vouching for an Alpha Romeo just because it's got a good service plan every 5 000kms or whatever, where Mercedes would be every 50 000kms, with impressively superior build quality, better materials (no plastic), better design, better sound system and also a crowd puller.

Tell me Glue, what would you choose? Don't tell me it's the Alpha because you don't mind overhauling the engine often, and covering the seats with real leather.

Please don't compare Htc to Mercedes :p
But yea i would take S4 over One.
People with Htc or Sony will be lucky to get any updates or support after 1 year.
It's more like you buy a Alfa and then sorry no more parts or service for you after 1 year.
Spoke to guy the other day that dropped his Htc One and it just landed wrong, screen is gone and phone doesn't switch on. Going to take 14 workings days to repair phone and who knows what it will cost him.
Samsung you just take it to service centre and will have phone back same day no questions asked.
They all great phones and to each his own.

I rest my case here. The facts are out there. If anybody is fortunate enough to be able to afford a high-end phone, then by all means, buy a high-end phone. No gimmicks.

What nonsense. Unless you're trying out each of these phones for a considerable period each, you're loving your own choice and recycling bad opinions of the others as a justification of said choice.

Dude, I love this S4 more than any other phone I've had (and I've had a few) and can only tell others how good it is. The battery life is amazing and the camera is stunning, that's my opinion. Over saturated screen? Wtf is that about? You read it somewhere, that's what. And your last few posts read like the posts of a guy that's read a bit but hasn't really got a clue otherwise.

To answer your question though, S4 over the One any day of the week. Lots of reasons, but mainly, why oh why would I choose schyte battery life?

Edit: LTE doesn't matter one jot to me. I use my phone for forums and a bit of social media. What would you use LTE for? And if it's for downloading large files quickly, why on earth would you spend hundreds of Rand on an HD movie that you could get over your adsl?

Sad much? LOL! Yes over saturated screen. I've used the phone and compared the 2 phones. Have you? If not then your measuring bar will be low, but I understand. It's the S4 after all. I've had to refer to the internet to confirm if the overly rich colours were just my keen eye, but alas, others share the same opinion.

Schyte battery life on the One? Really? Did you read that somewhere?

That LTE argument is just cognitive dissonance. And not everybody has adsl everytime.

Facts are facts. Enjoy your plastic gimmick.

Is it difficult to understand that we are enjoying our purchases? Fsck me, all I'm saying is I'd recommend it to anyone owing to my own experiences

What am I doing? I'm being honest about products available to the public without being emotional.

You missed my edit:

Wonderful. I can only comment on one of them I'm afraid, and I'd highly recommend it. Your honesty is your opinion and as an owner of what I'm now assuming is none of these 3 products, it's worth jack schyt to anyone but yourself.

And LTE means nothing to me unless I can see my opponents word before he plays it in words with friends.

No offence, but you seem like the all Samsung sheep that bought it because they the ad while watching 7de laan and don't actually know anything about phones.

Actually you remind me of those "over excited" "people(actors) they have in the radio and TV ads. :D
