Hi

I am legible to get an upgrade on my TopUp but I am choosing to go prepaid instead.

Problem is that I have R1200 airtime which will be lost once I switch. I already tried transferring it, but one can only transfer prepaid airtime.

Any ideas how I can transfer the airtime or any good ideas what to use it on?

Thanks!

I would suggest using Smartcall Load-a-buddy system.

It is expensive but you can at least keep most of the airtime in that account and when you convert to prepaid just recharge your number again.

Dial *130*678# to just for your number to be registered. Dial it and cancel.

Dial *130*745# and select recharge direct to smart load. A direct short cut you can use is *130*745*the number you just registered*14#

This will cost you R25 airtime and allocate R14.50 to the smartcall wallet which can be used to buy airtime or electricity. So yeah it's not the most cost effective way but at least you will get something out of it whether it be data, airtime or electricity if you use prepaid electricity meters.
