A Ford Cortina 1966 Model back in 1975. Paid $300 2nd Hnd in Bulawayo, what was then Rhodesia. Now Zimbabwe. I then dropped a Ford Capri V4 2 Lt engine into it.

First Car - 1992 Honda Prelude

This was my car, freshly polished and Honda Badge freshly stolen.
this car was the most reliable car ever, fuel how ever was a disaster. When I sold it I drove around with a 125cc bike for about 2 years, I did however stick with Honda.

Being my first, it is fondly remembered. Even had a CD shuttle fitted. Speakers custom fitted too

I had to go researching as I'm not even sure what it was.

The closest I've been able to find is the 1994 Ford Courier. Mine looked very similar to this but was blue with stock rims.

Didn't have power steering and had a manual choke. Had the turning circle of the moon. Gear shifts were really satisfying though. I remember the front being a bit different to the pic above though - without the gap below the bonnet and perhaps with slightly wider headlights.

I don't have a pic unfortunately but first car was a 2007 Citi 1.4i (with the "new" dash and interior). Went well, never gave a day's hassle.

First car I bought was a 2011 Nissan Micra 1.2 Acenta.

Skorokoro '69 Mini similar to pic, but in far worse condition. Paid R1000 for her in 1987, sold her a few years later for R1000 as well.

DKW station-wagon - Bought in 1966, it was umpteen hands old. The doors opened into the air stream, so if you opened it, the wind blew it backwards! The 3 cylinder, 3 coil engine and freewheel option made it the most unique vehicle I've ever seen.

My grandmother used to have one was I was a kid. I still remember the chickens in the doggy box on the way to the butchery! :crylaugh:

Saw a restored one a few years ago at a dayjol at Kleinvallei. All original except for the motor, which had been seriously worked on. Thing went like a scalded cat!
