What would you not give up?

The only thing I can't do without is Internet. I've lived on the breadline before, sharing a room with my 6-year old half-brother. Still had internet though. It's both a blessing and a curse as I need it to make money and then spend that money on it.

Everything else can go. I'll sit naked in the veld with only a laptop with 3G if I have to. hehe
 
There's nothing I wouldn't give up to make sure there was a roof over my family's head and food in their stomach.

I don't understand people that go out to drink. What does a double brandy and coke costs? If you are lucky and it's on a special ... R20.

For R75 you can buy a whole bottle and 2 bottles of coke. That's 15 brandys and coke.

15 Brandys and coke would cost you at a pub ... R300

When I was in primary school, I lived in a 2 room flat with my mom,dad and 2 sisters. We stayed there for 11 months, eating what we could, sharing everything we had. It was some of the longest days in my life. You see everyone across the road having fun and laughing, but you are stuck with no way out.

Eventually my dad stopped being such a depressed wreck and started working at getting us out of there, with a lot of help from my mom.

At this moment, where I live, we have ADSL, DSTV and food every day, but should I have none of that, I've got those days as a youngster to remind me that it's nothing compared to how I've had it ;)

I would rather quit drinking than drink a R50 bottle of brandy.

Same here :p There's nothing worse than a cheap brandy ;) :D :p I love Olof Berg btw. it's the only brandy that I can drink and drink and drink :p

That was the bottle I were thinking of when I set up the figures. R50 + R20 (two bottles of 1,5l coke)

Ja, I know. A fifty buck bottle of anything. Just cant do cheap alcohol anymore which is why I stick to beer now days. When I was 18 0r 19 I considered vodka that cost more than 7 bucks a bottle for larney's though. :sick: :D
 
Having my nails done monthly and 2 ply toilet paper there is no way i am giving up on that!!!!!
