What's for supper III

Ingredients


1 large onion, chopped
1 drizzle olive oil, for frying
45 ml Worcestershire sauce
15 ml paprika
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1 red pepper, finely sliced
375 ml dry white wine
45 ml hot peri-peri sauce
400 grams tomatoes, chopped and peeled
45 ml tomato paste
2 bay leaves
250 ml cream
1 dash salt and cracked black pepper, or to taste
30 grams butter
500 grams chicken livers, thawed and cleaned
4 Portuguese rolls, for serving

Method


  1. Fry onion in oil until soft.
  2. Add Worcestershire Sauce, paprika, garlic and pepper. Fry for a minute.
  3. Add wine, peri-peri sauce and tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes or until reduced.
  4. Add tomato paste, bay leaves and cream.
  5. Season and set aside.
  6. Melt butter in a nonstick pan and fry livers until browned but still a little pink in the centre.
  7. Add livers to sauce and heat before serving on Portuguese rolls.

If that is what you have to do to score, it is perhaps cheaper to hire a hooker?

Actually my wife paid for this one ;)

It wasn't too expensive actually - I've had pricier meals in this area that didn't taste half as good as this.
