Made some pan-fried pork rib-eyes with sauteed peppers and spring onions. Added a bit of cream at the end. Deelish.

@cerebus: ^^^ Dat image bro .
Not a very flattering image. Did you crumb the top?

I haven't heard of that but it sounds interesting, thanks.

Beef olives and vegetable bake.

Joh the image compression in MyBB is terrible...
Give it a go. Pop your dough into a oiled plastic container that can accommodate it doubling or a ziplock bag with a couple of sprays of nonstick. Put it in the fridge straight after you make it and it can stay in the fridge for up to 4 days. When you take it out and shape or pan it give it about 2 hours to rise.

If you looking for a good bread book then try "Peter Reinhardt's - Artisan Breads Everyday" most of his recipes are searchable on the net.

Post from a friend of mine:

Cape Town food lovers! Would any of you be keen to attend a Japanese food demo this week? Former Grand Hyatt Tokyo executive chef Aikio Saito will be doing a demo from 11:30 to 13:30 at the Table View hotel on Thursday. This has been arranged courtesy of the Japanese embassy and JETRO (Japanese External Trade Organisation) and is a free event, you just need to register here: https://www.jetro.go.jp/form5/pub/suy/japanfoodshow2016cpt - Cape Town peeps, please share in case any of your foodie friends might be keen!

Started a sous vide leg of lamb

Then prepped a mushroom/mint/cream sauce to top it with.

Then got bored and decided to do something a bit different. So I cubed the chilled lamb

Added more cream to the sauce, and tossed in the lamb cubes.

I'm calling it Lamb Diane, after a similar dish that I saw Gordon Ramsey prepare.

^^^ Damn that looks appetizing.
Nice one :).
Thanks.

I do think I reduced the sauce a touch too much. Wanted it to cover most of the shredded cabbage it was served on. Only coated about half because it was too thick.

Made a mental note for next time.

My brother in law came to eat and brought duck from his farm.
