Ahhh that is it. Goodbye unhealthy food tonight. Yeah my phone sucks with photos.

Oh it looks bad but that is because it was wrapped so squished but diced red onion and cheese etc yum
 
^^^ Those brinjals better be soft.
Nothing worse than kinda-hard brinjals.
 
For a lack of Yellowtail I bought some Rainbox Trout for the braai.

Made a parsley, thyme and lemon zest butter and I must say it turned out great. Just a shame there wasn't any dill as that is my preferred herb for dish.

had food at sevruga

starters was the calamari
i had the kingklip with mash and a lemon sauce, wife had deboned ribs
and creme brule for supper

very good food

Thick ass prime rib roast. Decided to do it sous vide it since I've also chucked in a chuck roast which will be staying in for the next 60ish hours.

The chuck has been going for just shy of 48 hours, will be pulling it at 60 hours, tomorrow morning. Then will salt for a dry brine to chill out for supper time.

does it make a difference if its in for longer ?

can you roast chuck as well ?

I think he's got in the sous vide for 60 hours to tenderize it. The longer it stays in, the softer it'll become. I guess he'll finish it off on the grill or smoker when it's ready.

Americans roast chuck quite often, it will take around 4 hours to cook properly.
 
the longer the better but i assume after some time it stops doing anything lol

nice to see how it comes out, make a small video when tearing it apart
