Nah looks good. But you could try taking your pics in a well lit area. It always looks like you opened the takeaway box while you were standing by the car.

Not even sure what to call this.

Crumbed chicken breasts baked with mushrooms in chicken broth and cheese on top.

Pretty much googled a recipe with what I had and this came up.

Doesn't look great but was very tasty, simple comfort food.

Was a Groupon and I plan to moan about the fact that because of this we got the lowest common denominator waiter you can imagine. But the food was excellent.

Groupon was also a rip. Well not really but you can have it at the same price just going directly there. So their "799 value" nonsense is bull****.

Had a braai last night and made hopelessly too much food. Boerewors, rump steaks, chicken drumsticks, beef lasagne, biltong, samoosas and chips... With copious amounts of beer, r&r and Jameson's... So much leftovers. Lemme go attack some of those drumsticks now

I have become a food snob.

Had a braai at my place yesterday and so this morning there were some left overs in the fridge.

I made some sirloin which I had dried and seasoned in the fridge hours beforehand and then added some thyme to with a little butter over the fire.

So I had that and then some random steak this morning for breakfast...and I pretty much didn't eat whatever the other steak was because it simply wasn't on par.

So bad.

One thing is for sure, it's as much about preparation as it is about the actual cooking.

Had a family gathering tonight with roti wraps. I marinated chicken breast overnight in a buttermilk mixture then smoked and grilled it over charcoal.
 
I have to say that is a good looking piece of meat right there.

I'm currently marinating lamb to make a tagine tonight. MMmmm

It was a little over done... my stupid fault. I had the wireless thermometer in it, and it got stuck 3 degrees from done because the base ran out of batteries. So the receiver just got stuck 3 degrees from the alarm going off... god knows for how long it was like that.

But it was very tasty. Spiced it with Green Onion Ina Paarman spice, and then rubbed down with garlic butter... slow-ish cook at around 130degrees.
