Had a craving for KFC so ordered some and popped them under the grill to crisp out, the fat/oil makes me feel ill. You should see how much fat/oil comes out of that stuff, currently waiting for it to cool down a bit.

^^^ Damn that looks like some greasy awesomeness :D. Looks like perfect food to wash down with that beer. Been meaning to go for a while now...which one did you go to? Were the poppers stuffed with cheese or creamcheese?

What went wrong? Looks nice. Btw, don't use pepper before searing. It'll scorch. Pepper after.

Pro tip. Thanx. Oven wasn't ready. I realize this as soon as I put the steak in the pan. I was like @&$&! Pan was smoking hot. So no blood but was a bit chewy. So I'll need to adjust the oven time as well.

So the next one goes on the braai. Hot hot hot! This weekend still.

What was your technique? Oven first, then fry?

Going to make pulled pork enchiladas tonight.

Fry in a hot pan and then oven. Forgot to preheat.

Post the recipe for the pork. It's in my list. I'm going to end up buying a dimple thermometer. That shoulder needs to be made.

Dimple? My ****ing Maverick is buggered. Doesn't hold temperature properly, can't find details on how to sort it out. So pissed off.

Simple. I was looking on Amazon. I like the 2 probe one. One for measuring dome temp and the other one for the meat. Attracted by the alarm that can be set to monitor dome temp.

That's the one I have. But the cheaper one, think it's the ET-773.
