have you tried the oven ?

I fry my patties in the griddle pan, give them nice lines and colour on both sides and then pop them in the oven for 5-10min depending on the thickness. Same with steaks.

Stays nice and juicy that way.

Unless you make open burger like I do a lot of the times.

And it starts the caramelization process for more flavour and nice texture on the outside while juicy on the inside.

The oven doesn't get the same browning on the surface of the patties, which is actually where the flavour resides and not just for looks. One could start by frying the top over a searing heat in oil, then transfer them to the oven.........oh wait that's what apoc already said. So yea that.

Pan seared trout with a lemon garlic & chilli butter sauce. Served on a herb salad. Added some chopped chilli to the salad too.

It was so amazing. And I'm not even a fish lover.

We are going to "Flavours of Tshwane" tomorrow and those top restaurants will have to up their game to beat the flavours I devoured tonight.

Meatballs in dough. Lots of fun.

Made a lime meringue pie for someone's birthday this afternoon as well.

I still want to taste a key lime pie.

I've never seen it at any restaurants or shops.

Love zesty desserts.

I don't think you can get real key limes here. But using normal limes to make it is fine. It's quite easy to make. Tastes amazing if you can add bits of candied ginger in there.
