Both what, the starter and the mains? I was thinking of having quite a big gap in between eating them, and taking out the starchy element from the soup so it's just onion stock and cheese. The bouchee is a sort of cupcake sized delicacy. And introducing some sharpness into the pearl onions by caramelizing them in vinegar.

Yeah I meant the starter and the main.

Sho wellington is quite intimidating for me. I'd love to give it a try though. I guess my idea is pushing in that direction.

Only made it once, and was aided greatly by using sous vide. I'm also not sure if I'd give it a go without using SV.

Let me try distract you with this...

It's cooked nicely.

bugger off, braai you own.... fekking asians!

Nothing. Had a typical Afrikaaner braai. Fire, braai the meat, more fire, all while beer. Don't eat. Steak is in the fridge. :(

I went to a braai last weekend where I didn't even end up cooking my meat. Went back in the fridge. :(

Copious amounts of beer were consumed though. :D

I was invited to a potjiekos evening on Monday.

I ended up quickly scooping a few spoonful's on a plate and chowing it down just before I was leaving.
