Kauai chipotle wrap. It didn't taste remotely like chipotle, but it was nice enough. Kauai wraps are always nice and fresh.

Mixed veg soup with thick bacon

Cool, reminds me of the green split pea soup that I usually make. Initially I used bacon, but these days I just throw in a smoked eisbein.

An incredible prawn curry at Chutneys in Colombo.

Too dark for pics and doesn’t look appetising anyway as curries usually go.

Green chilli, coriander and coconut vibes.

Haven't eaten there in years. Always found it kinda bland - like it's just a salad in a wrap without any interesting sauce to go with it. The chipotle was part of a sauce / dressing?

Yeah it's bland I can't argue with that. We went gym then got lazy and it's dead cheap with vitality :D

Duck and Cranberry Pie? Details and pics when applicable, thanks :)

Hehe. Camera with the nifty fifty was lying on the dining room table so I used it instead of the phone.
Heh :).

Barley bread...it's in the oven and smelling good. Just be patient....

So I appropriated my mother's electric pressure cooker.

Friday I made some beef stock with some marrow bones and off cuts.

Now I'm using the stock and wine to cook some oxtail. House smells heavenly.

Rump steak with a mushroom sauce. Served with green pepper, garlic and obligatory cheese filled mushrooms.

Think I got food poisoning from that wedding dinner. Food didn't taste great either. So much for fancy looking menus.

Thanks, it was really good.

I'm gonna have a lot of fun with the pressure cooker :)

I keep vacillating over whether to buy one. My wife is terrified of them, but I rarely use the slow cooker apart from making stocks, because they just turn everything into beautifully aromatic mush. A pressure cooker would give the best parts of a slow-cooker while preserving the freshness of the ingredients.
