looks good outsider
what the inside look like
Fettuccini Alfredo
This photo doesn’t do it much justice though, was delicious.
With the bacon/pancetta in there it looks more like a Carbonara than an Alfredo. What else is in it?
I know what a carbonara looks like - we have it at least once a week.It doesn't look at all like a carbonara. A carbonara is egg based with a glossy texture that sticks to the surface of the pasta.
I know what a carbonara looks like - we have it at least once a week.Bacon isn't a traditional Alfredo ingredient though, hence my qn.
FWIW Alfredo hails from Rome and originally consisted of only fettuccini, parmesan, and butter.

I guess bacon is ok with an alfredo, but yeah it tends to use chicken or shellfish. But UrBaN963, next time you should use parmesan instead of grated cheddar.
Pancetta, but it's a pain to find here.isn't it normally Ham?
It’s not cheddar, it just got grated by an ingrate who used the large holes instead of the small holes.
