Spinach and feta quiche that turned out again to be watery scrambled eggs. :(

But I read up a bit. My mistakes were numerous:

  • Spinach still too soggy - I did try top squeeze out most of the moisture but obviously it wasn't enough.
  • A large onion also added too much moisture.
  • I didn't add enough salt to the egg, milk mixture for the proteins to bind.
  • And my oven was too hot and my quiche too thick so it ended up being too much like scrambled eggs.

But not that it was bad tasting. It tasted like scrambled eggs with spinach and cheese. :o

Had meatballs with penne pasta (didn't have any spaghetti) with a homemade tomato sauce.

Tofu, wokked in a vegetarian stir-fry sauce
with brinjals, green beans, peppers, mushrooms, garlic, basil
and chilli, finished in a black bean sauce

ask for no rice and the give you more veggies :D
 
Beef short rib done sous-vide @ 65deg for 24 hours then smoked for 2 hours with some Apple wood.

Was great. Gonna try this with some brisket.
 
Turned out that the aioli sauce had thickened overnight and turned into a perfect mayonnaise, so we had that with the burger. Was delicious.

I once had vrot ice cream. I mean how do you even do that?

But generally it's not that the experience is so bad, but the food is just abysmal.

Anyway I stop, I stop. Having chicken stew tonight, smells delicious downstairs.

dear god, please let cerebus be talking about the chicken stew.
 
Had a braai last night. Boerewors, lamb chops, pork neck, bacon wrapped cheese grillers, frikkadels and some paratha and methi roti. Finished at 2 this morning... Should probably get to work soon :/
