Pronounced "rooty"
Yep, in PE too... also see wiki:In all my travels through India and my exposure to Indian culture I have never heard anyone pronounce it as 'rooty'.
Maybe in the Cape ?
Roti, pronounced "Rooti" in Cape Town, is also a staple food source amongst many of the Indian, Asian and Cape coloured communities living in South Africa and is either eaten as a flat bread or a wrap with locally made curries.

to me they are like snackwich toasters cause i put anything in them. I've had peanut butter and golden syrup in my rooti and cheese and jam.
