I've been with Cellc from 2005.

Untill recentley this year I started to get some bad customer support
and as usual a no serivce connection no matter which type of cellphone I
use.

I think it is finally time to move to mtn or vodacom

what do you guy's think?

yeah cell c has gone really bad over the past year or so

I ported 1.5 yrs ago to MTN and best move I made. In our office, we are still getting our CC reception from a shared Vodacom tower - signal sux. My job requires me to test SMSs send/recieve on all 3 networks daily and it really gets to me that CC gives the most grief. We have direct links to their servers and I won't even go that route about their connectivity...

I even find that I my messages end up in a queue ( I suspect it is the tower) and the only way to flush their queue is to send a second or third message... I've spent hours on the phone live testing with CellC with this problem.

I also wonder what's up with Cell C as well....the whole weekend the Internet connection was just BAD...kept on disconnecting after a minute or so.....very bad indeed!!! Not good!!!!!

I moved from Cell-C at the beginning of this year to Virgin, as soon as my contract expired.

Reason being for about 6 months I could not call or sms my girlfriend on her Vodacom cellphone. Any other cell provider or fixed line could reach the number, just not a cell-c sim card.

After about 10 emails and 7 calls eventually a cell-c consultant recommended I change the network on my cellphone from cell-c to vodacom... the irony in that is enough. I still couldn't sms but at least could make calls.

Virgin is decent so far, I have no qualms - but from all I've heard vodacom still seems to be the best bet.

STRANGE, COZ VIRGIN DOES NOT HAVE THEIR OWN NETWORK CHANNELS, THERE PIGGY-BACK OFF CELLC, SO IM AREAS THAT YOU HAVE NO CELLC COVERAGE, YOU WONT HAVE VIRGIN COVERAGE.

WHY THE HECK DO YOU TYPE THIS WAY??????

CellC uses Vodacom towers if there is no CellC towers, so Virgin works on Vodacom as well.

FORCE OF HABBIT ON FORUMS;)

REMEMBER VIRGIN HAS NO "NETWORK", THEY ARE JUST CELLC REBRANDED. IN THE EVENT THAT CELLC HAS A NETWORK PROBLEM, VIRGIN WILL BE AFFECTED.

IM PRETTY SURE THAT CELLC HAS APPROX 80% OF THEIR TRAFFIC ON THERE OWN NETWORK... SO THAT MEANS - OF "VIRGINS TRAFFIC" IS ON CELLC NETWORK
