WhatsApp blocking links to Telegram

I actually deleted WhatsApp off my phone last night. Sent out a broadcast to people that I still have contact with and just said I can be reached on Telegram for messages and Signal for Voip. Else they can send me SMS and pay for it or phone me on a normal call.

Most people I speak to daily is now on Telegram so WhatsApp can go fck themselves. Their colours are starting to show.
 
I did not want a push to delete whatsapp, but apparently I just got one. need to test to confirm
 
just shared the link to the app in play store via whatsapp and it worked.

I like testing before buying into hype...
 
also sent a link to my profile in telegram exactly like the ones in the article and the links were clickable in whatsapp...
 
Better send out a message with a link to my profile and Telegram. Then delete whatsapp

Which builds? As stated on reddit, linking works in build 2.12.304 but not build 2.12.367. You are probably testing on a build earlier than 2.12.367

Facebook can also go fck themselves. Glad I deleted my account years ago and was when they bought WhatsApp that I switched to Telegram ... and now I have deleted my WhatsApp account also. Arseholes.
 
Sent this to my mate on 26 Nov. Made me look like a tjop. This is using the invite function from within Telegram...

I suspect the story is another click bait bit of fiction, just tested on 2.12.367 (Android) and 2.12.12 (iOS) and the links both work.

Alright i'll rescind my statement,Play store says client is upto date but clearly it's behind

Grabbed latest on Aptoide and it does the same >.>
