Whatsapp issue with backing up

So my WhatsApp Folder on my phone is fairly large and I need to move to a new phone.
But my last successful backup was on February 14th.
Every backup since then just gets stuck at aroun 600 Mb. of the 16Gb transfer process.
It just will not move beyond that point.
It's not always exactly the same point, but the backup just never completes....

Things I have tried....

1) Disconnecting the Google Drive and reconnecting the account
2) Deleting the old backups on Google Drive
3) Using a different Google Account
4) Using a different Wifi point (I have tried at home and at the office) the speed is 500 Mbps - this backup should go through in minutes but it just gets stuck...
5) Trying at a different time of the day (I have tried this in the middle of the day, and in the middle of the night).
6) Deleting old messages (I have cleared out all my old WhatsApp messages and deleted old groups).
7) I am not backing up videos - only text and pics.

Please do not offer unhelpful messages like "Use Telegram" - I am already using Telegram.
And yes I know WhatsApp sucks major ass.
Unfortunately I'm still stuck using it...

Default storage limit on Google account is 15GB.. are you nearing that limit or paying for more storage..?

My Google 1 storage Paid Account is 2 Terabytes.
It was never an issue before today.
And it shouldn't bomb out at just 600 Mb.

Is this related to a previous thread coz I feel like i just saw this discussion.

Sorry not sure why it doesn't want to backup, but I use Autosync for Google to backup my data (Upload Only) . I did pay a small fee for the app. Even if WhatsApp backups did work, it is unreliable and have had it in the past to only find out later that it never backup properly, or the data was lost.

I just select the WhatsApp folder on my phone, and then created a folder on my Google Drive. Upload Only. And then set it to sync whenever there are changes. Bunch if other settings as well. Make sure it is set to run in the background.

Do I have to pay for the app on each phone that I install it on?
Surely I just have to pay for it once?
I mean I paid for the Ultimate Version... but it's not showing as paid for on the second phone...

EDIT: OK never mind I had to reboot the phone and then it recognised the paid version.

My phone does the same, I just restart the phone then the backup completes.

Eish, tried that hundreds of times....

Anyway, I'm doing the backup thing above....
Even if WhatsApp does work. I have had it where you think it is backed up and then WhatsApp didn't properly backup or sync with G Drive. There is Zero control over the backups. So I have Drivesyc schedule as one way backup sync only (so not two way sync) and let it run once a day or something.

Wow, this program is NOT fast hey.... it's been backing up all day....
