WhatsApp voice calling now open

It was an official version. I got it from the play store. Then i got 2.12.5 from the play store a day or two later. Voice still works.

ok but dillydog is running 2.10.12 and says it does not work. if i look at all the posts and people i have activated, they were running 2.11.561, his version is an older version, is it not?

Yes.
561 introduced voice calling though it was present in older versions (hence can receive calls from newer ones)

The older versions can see a missed call or see a call that drops quickly but cannot answer or make calls, as far as I know.

dillydog has pm'd me for activation last week when the window was open and it did not work and the reason, from his post, is that he is NOT running the latest version, we have been telling the people to run to activate the feature.

I was on the recommended version...I think the window had closed already, I was merely providing an update
