That's not entirely true..... it's actually very easy to take screenshots of any secret chat or photo in telegram, they even state that it can be bypassed in their F.A.Q. (And many 3rd party apps can also do that for you without Telegram alerting the other party.)
Then the issue of sending "secret" pics to most android devices, the pics get saved to the phone automatically, so even after it disappears from the secret chat it stays on the phone... (If you have a iphone the pic's in those secret chats don't get saved to your phone, so make sure you don't send your naughty pics to people with androids haha)

We will make every effort to alert you about screenshots taken in your Secret Chats, but it may still be possible to bypass such notifications and take screenshots silently. We advise to share sensitive information only with people you trust. After all, nobody can stop a person from taking a picture of their screen with a different device or an old school camera.

Too much effort too, since most of us have pcs with way slow rendering times, and not all can fake a whatsapp conversation

MS Paint would suffice for most poeple.

It is entirely true what I said. Why you should say it is not entirely true? Your explanation doesn't show which part is not true.

You are right with your note, that there is no certaintly how secure this option is excecuted on the receipient phone. It works well on iOS, but Android is a big mess. In summary, it was such option on Telegram on the beginning, as it is how Telegram is designed and FAQ gives you full and honest explanation.

It gives also a shed of light on the promoters of the atricle and their ethics. They fool you about a new option in Whatsap, promising it would work. A false promise from the beginning, as we know well it will work not better than currently on Telegram.

Yes, you can, you have an option. The same what Whatsap propaganda is promising to you, so they are bunch of liers.

At least Telegram do not lie to you, it tells a full truth.
