Speaking of shifting, coming down from a couple of thousand revs and popping the clutch is one of the most awesome sounds ever. Nothing like a powerful blip.
But isn't this dangerous to the engine, or is it only old man speak?

I suppose it's only dangerous if you lose control and bail. Honda engines are like Opel engines... they'll go on until they actually find the horizon.

Depends on my drive-style - the auto gearbox adapts based on how hard I put my foot down.
Relaxed conditions - around 3000RPM. When I'm in a hurry - 6000 - 7000RPM.

Depends on how fast I want to get there but usually at 3000.
