When will iBurst drop prices...?

We live in the age where consumers have finally been given a voice on this thing we call the 'Internets'...
Use it / don't use it...

I'm patient (and persistent) as hell.
Err.. and maybe just on slam no 1000+ that door would actually open?

not before your head ends up a bloody pulp of mess .... I'm all for bigga and betta "internets", but seriously dont expect much till about the end of next year... (optimistic realist) :D

Remember 64kbps can get you hardcapped if abused.

Secondly, 8KB/s is not a lot and very few people will utilise it to its max. Very few people have the tenacity to sit setting up downloads every 12/24 hours
and have systems running 24/7. People who do are probably paying R3000 pm
for uncapped ADSL.

I agree but I doubt an inefficient outfit like iBurst can afford that. It's a joint venture type company and hence it's primary focus is on maximising profit over keeping customers - the venture capital then moves on when demand drops. I don't think they'll go into cutthroat competition. Even if they do - who do they compete against - NEOTEL? Neotel has such low coverage that they're not a factor while other uncapped offerings at 1Mb/sec are over R3000 per month.

Sorry - I meant it's a VENTURE CAPITAL funded company (not joint-venture). :)

I donno - My head / body has taken much bigger knocks than that door @ iburst :D

Hmm...
Surely someone at iBurst must have realized by now that it is far more economically viable to retain existing customers than attract new ones?

Just wondering..

Package idea(Sort of):
maybe iburst can offer something that internode in australia has done at no extra cost.

A gateway/proxy server to WoW!

If it could prove to drop pings to below like 300ms and be stable, iburst would get loads of WoW players :P

Problem is that not all of us are WoW addicts so that "gateway/proxy server" would be of the useless to many. One day you will also realize how pointless WoW is ;)

useless to many, just like many internode clients. Just like e-mail addresses from isps are useless to many.

Its just an idea for an added service!

also, some people watch tv for hours and hours, i play wow!

I cant wait to see what Iburst has instore... if the include the extra 64k bolton that I have been asking for I wont have to look around. Dammit this 64k is killing me.

Extra 64k bolt-on for an extra R999.99. It's a deal!

IBurst product idea: (maybe a bit out there)

Streaming music subscription (with free bandwidth to the service).

E.g. free membership to http://spotify.com/ streamed to all iburst users via local grid.

I know something like this involves the mire of licensing issues. But itll eventually happen.
