When will iBurst reduce prices or increase caps?

bah guys... if u want cheap bandwidth.. leave the country.. only way im sorry ......... we have been sitting on this forum for over the last year... and i havent seen a decent price drop:P

It seems that everyone is kind of slowly steering away from the main issue on this forum "when will the caps increase or prices drop with I-Burst?!", I think I-Burst are loving the fact that we've stopped asking questions now and giving up on them. Every other company is announcing price drops and uncapped offerings all over the place, interconnect prices are down. Are I-Burst starting to milk us for as long as possible?! Are the system issues ever going to be resolved since the upgrade, can we have an update as to how far along the fixes are to the billing system and so forth?!

said that in the previous post.. i just believe that iburst is milking us cause we are bound in contract with them lol... typical south african mentallity... how to make alot of money fast

We are all in the "Wait & See" stage at the moment.

Until iBoss is running 100%, we won't be seeing any new prices/packages.
 
I know what you're saying as we all heard about the 100 day plan from I-Burst but at this rate I-Boss won't be running for another 3 months with the problems they're going through..... I am tried of being capped in the first week with my 3 Gb cap.... It's ridicolous for R469 each month. I can't afford to upgrade and we should be getting at least 6 Gb cap for that kind of money if not more!

Lol, The only time my ping goes above 50 is when theres rain and then its usually only 150ms even when capped :P Guess I'm just lucky.
Oh and i can host without any problems but only when I have cap:D

Some good news and hope from iBurst.

iBurst is reevaluating its packages and is likely to increase the value proposition of its prepaid offering.
iBurst CEO Jannie van Zyl says that the company is currently focusing on its consumer offerings,
and added that they are planning to get rid of legacy products and introduce new services to the market.

That's good news, lets hope it from October and also lets hope that they don't get rid of the throttled speed after cap, because it's the only reason worth staying with I-Burst for at this point in time, I actually really hope they double the speed of the throttle to 128 Kbps.

Agree with you about rain. When its raining, its works same as it was sunny. Stable one.
 
I'm still waiting for the price drops......

Iburst will get alot more customers and keep the current crowd if they can keep the clients happy with either Higher Cap allowances, or cheaper Packages.

Personally i think they can do this easily, as a 1gig package does not cost R200 to provide. Obviously there are other expenses, Salary's, bills, upgrades, etc..etc

Lets wait and see
 
maybe we can expect another prepaid product... or even better... R200for 1 gig of cap contract hard cap but when u top up.. it costs u R600 per gig.. due to our infrastructure(comes FREE with limewire)!
 
How long do we have to wait still to see some cap increases and price cuts?!?!?!
 
Well instead of cutting prices they double billed me this month instead, so for 3Gb I got charged R469 x 2, not quite a reduction I was hoping for!!!!!!!! I am sooooooo mad right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
