When will Vodacom have IPhone 4 in stock again?

Does anybody know? You ask a Vodashop, and they say it's on back-order, and they know nothing else. This has been going on since December. I am starting to think MTN might be more interested.

The supplier is unable to give us a ETA on the shipments. When we do get, it is like 3 handsets out of a order that has a quantity of 15 on it. Those phones then goes out to clients that have placed orders and am on the waiting list. It is very frustrating, not just for the clients, but for us also. Trust me, it is not nice being nagged at by the stores for stock because the clients are shouting at them and threatening to report our store to Hello Peter.
 
MTN rocks !! , I thought i was going to have to wait , i went through to MTN in northgate on 29 Dec , upgraded got my iphone 4 immediately , micro SIM was immediately activated in Store within 5 min , so no waiting 24 hours etc.

Thanks for the reply @ocleroux. None of the stores, and I have been to 3, even offered to place me on a waiting list. I actually have two IPhone contracts to renew, and @omiia_fan seem very happy with MTN.

U are welcome. It is a rather unfortunate situation.

I can not speak for MTN. Not sure how, where and why they getting stock. It is rather strange.
 
I have emailed someone I know in the relevant department regardings MTN supposedly endless flow of stock as per Omnia. Maybe she can shed some light for me on this suspicious situtation.
 
OK...tried some phoning around to see for myself.

Chilli Lane Sunninghill - Does not do the Iphone 4 at all
Norwood - No Answer
Sandton City - No Answer
Northgate - No Answer
Woodmead - Does not do the Iphne 4 at all

Got bored and went back to surfing Off Topic section :-)

Quattro - with whom do we place an order?? I went to Vodashop @ Vodaworld Midrand and they have no idea when they are getting stock. They didnt even offer to put me on a waiting list.

The only option I may have is to upgrade via Vodacom Retentions (082 1959), who cant confirm or deny iphone 4 stock availability. They are however very keen to do the upgrade, and let me wait 2-3 months for the phone?
 
Phoned Mtn Direct on monday 17 Jan 2011. Requested to port my number from Vodacom to Mtn and sign up for Iphone 4 package. Recieved a call this morning (Wednesday 19 jan 2011) from Mtn, asking if someone will be at home tomorrow for delivery!!!! 4 days for porting, new contract and delivery.
 
The courier was just here to drop my iphone!I waited two days with mtn direct
 
Well I called Mtn Direct two weeks ago and placed an order for iPhone 4, then say it will be delivered today
 
Ordered mine on the 10th January and it was delivered last week Friday. I was told the end of the month when I ordered so there seems to be some stock coming through.
