I don't care too much for where 702 are leading us. There is this continuous drone about Lead SA but they will flight SANRAL adverts. Or are part of a company that does light up ghastly billboards at night.

Seeing as their village idiot is on leave, Redi is filling in. This morning that master of all things technological (not) Aki was impressed with himself for having an etag. And then Redi (for whom I used to have respect) said she was going to become legal and get an etag albeit at the last moment.

The other thing that they had been rabbiting on about was that movie Material and how awesome it was. How come no other South African movie has been promoted? We've had Liefling, Semi Soet, Ordinary People, and even (shudder) a new new Leon Schuster. Back to Material - that had to be the fakest beard of all time, the granny was a clone of the one off the Kumars (a worse one by far), and card board cutouts act better than Nick Rabinowitz (maybe that's the link). The story was okay (Jazz Singer anyone) and some of the acting was great (the mother).

Anyway, enough moaning this morning.

What makes you think 702 (primedia) as a company ought to be opposed to government? They are not a political party & can't be seen as such. They are supposed to be objective (not that they are - but pretending is good enough). Lead SA is not a opposition campaign against the government or their projects - you are very misguided.

If you didnt like it, you should have just switched to a different station or play a cd/mp3

Well..Redi did go on to say that she will do the right thing regarding the E-Tags. She then went on to mention that she will be holding on to the last minute to see what in fact the right thing to do will be...to get...or not to get :-)

I just stick to the money show in the evening as that is relevant to my interests. With the other shows you run the risk of hearing things you don't like, but i guess you have to take the good with the bad

I stopped listening to them a while ago.
One the reasons being their e-tag advertising.

I really enjoyed Material, thought it was pretty good - just the ending could have been better. Out of interest, the guy that played the father in the movie also plays the father in the Kumars :)

I too enjoyed Material.
Its one of the better movies out of SA in 2012.
i think you personal issues, their views dont allign with yours, misguided as they are, you have the 'power' to change the station, i doubt however you will find another station that compliment your views...

I enjoy listening to John Robbie. I just find him entertaining. Not to take him seriously. Redi is trying too hard. Always looking for news and such. I was pissed to find out she'll be filling in for JR. If Udo replaced her.

If you are looking for a fair host, but boring at times, listen to David O'sullivan.

You are lead by a radio station ?

Good question.

Seeing as their village idiot is on leave, Redi is filling in. This morning that master of all things technological (not) Aki was impressed with himself for having an etag. And then Redi (for whom I used to have respect) said she was going to become legal and get an etag albeit at the last moment.

Since when does an e-tag make me "legal"? :wtf:

As far as I am concerned most of their presenters have turned into dithering idiots.

Maybe not all, but enough of them to make me dig out my old music collection, or to listen to foreign podcasts.

The problem with radio personalities is that they try to give out their personal opinions. Things like business, a word on and such like are good to listen to because the presenters don't try to elucidate us with their personal opinions.

Have you heard JCW try to talk politics? I don't even think she has ever read a real newspaper in her life. Her political opinions are like Die Son.

702 have lost a lot of credibility with me as well and I have lately found myself changing the station away from them.

They speak out of both sides of their mouths.

But their signal is so weak in the Southern area of Joburg anyway, most of the time I can't find the station and just give up. ... probably a good thing.

I like most of their line-up.
I also know which programs bore me.
Sometimes Redi, often Jenny CW. Never John Robbie, Bruce Whitefield or Chris Gibbons.
I do know what all the little buttons on my radio do, so I can change to something else if I am bored instead of whining

Classic FM might be a good substitute for some.
When they're not playing music its much like 702.

I like John Robbie, he does not give up when he is onto something! When he has e.g. a politician on the show, he keeps asking until he gets an answer.

Redi is not my cup of tea at all. Too obsessed with herself and her views.

Where is 702 leading us?
I don't care too much for where 702 are leading us.

Then why the **** post a question you don't care about. Make up your mind woman!
