Which 60 Inch?

So my trusty old samsung plasma has finally kicked the bucket.

I need to get a new TV, must be 60"


Best / Cheapest models?

All I can say it that if you play games, check input latency. Most of the cheaper smart TVs are incredibly bad.
 
We bought a 60" Hisense FHD Smart TV for our boardroom last year. Was about R12 or R13k if memory serves. So far it's performed very nicely for our needs. If you're not too much of a brand snob, then it might work for you.

I see that sinotec would be lovely - alas I can't wall mount it.

It should be wall mountable surely? Most are these days. They don't come standard with a wall mount kit but you can buy that separately for about R250. If manufacturers still make big screen tv's that aren't wall mountable, well that's a big fail.

I checked the specs, apparently a lot of tv's these days don't have the mounting holes, but simply a stand
