Family member is in the market for a vehickle. He drives a round trip of 50k per day to work and back and then obviously will use it for social driving.

Single guy, no plans to get married or have children in the next couple of years.

What would you guys suggest?

Hmmmmmm, I like the way you think.

If you care about resale value never buy a new car.

You’ll not anything else in that price range low mileage the same amount of features and flare.

Sure you could buy something brand new…and in five years it will be worth less than the Mokka you bought second hand and you would have been sad driving it every single day.

Good thinking, I dont think they can depreciate lower than they cost second hand.

100%.

I would be driving one now if it wasn’t for being a bit too small as a family car.

Had I been in a single position or just didn’t have two kids it would be a no brainer.

Thanks SauRoNZA, that's a very lateral way of thinking. Great way to turn devaluation to your own advantage, even Epahlicious agrees.

Suzuki Fronx/Toyota Starlet Cross. The fuel economy puts many small turbocharged petrol engines to shame.

If you really want a turbo, the new Mahindra 3XO looks like excellent value for money and I would trust it more than the Chinese brands.
