Airwolf : I bank with all 4 of the major ones, and they ALL try screw me in different ways...
feo : I know, I was just clarifying my stance on the whole thing, I know you're smarter than trying to abuse a credit card
That FNB card looks like it will cost you in the region of about R350 pa... (including the ebucks charge of R160pa), though I'm not finding it easy to see the interest attached to the card.. but I'm guessing it'll be in the region of 20% for a credit balance, and like 2 or 3% otherwise..
In that case get a Virgin one, there are no fees and they offer the best positive balance interest rate
Thats exactly what i use mine for, i keep any spare money on the card & earn interest, & use it when needed
Wouldn't it make more sense to use the spare money to remove some of your other high interest debt?
Stay away from american express... this year they have been phyiscally incapable of sending out statements and dont listen to you when you do address changes or take notice when you request them to send an electronic statement.
So is the only way to get a Virgin Card through the Virgin Money website?
The form you have to fill in looks very dodge. For example, this morning when filling the form out, I answered no to some questions and it kept changing my answer to yes.Unfortunately yes.

Will try it properly later.
