Which flagship to get?

Why are people suggesting a pixel 2 xl.. the phone has sooo many issues and would cost you an arm and a leg to ship back/forth for repairs.

Gotta convince themselves they made the right decision I guess? jk.

I honestly do not know why one would suggest it locally, it's just not worth the drama if it breaks or arrives with hardware issues.

I would suggest a Pixel or OnePlus to someone who regularly travels to areas that have support for those devices.

Lol, the only "issue" I got on mine is the blue hue, which to be honest never bugged me since I use the phone head-on and got it after the saturation setting software update. The only bug for me is no wireless charging, which I can live without for all the pros.
More people are probably jelly they can't get one.

Personal preference as to which phone a user thinks is better, I still use my windows 10 mobile device since I prefer it and it does what I need it to do.

But go google/bing/yahoo/duckduckgo/<random search engine> pixel 2xl issues .. have yet to see another android "flagship" with so many issues from any brand.. even the normal pixel doesn't have nearly as many issues as the 2 xl

"Lol"

Considering my iPhone 7 absolutely kills my Galaxy S8+ for battery life can I presume that's a joke?

iPhone is OK.

Jack of all trades - master of none. It's just an average phone that I recommend my parents to use for ease of use. A few generations being everything else, but it's not too bad to use considering.

I think the biggest thing here is that he wants something more than average though

Considering my Xiaomi Mi MAX 2 absolutely kills my iPhone 7 for battery life, I presume a look at the Xiaomi MI MAX 2 or MI MIX 2S would be in order. I get a little more than 2 full days battery life with the Mi Max 2

I currently own an iPhone 8 Plus but would like to get an Android flagship to have the best of both worlds.

So I have the following options:
- Samsung S9/Plus
- Huawei Mate 10 Pro
- Huawei P20 Pro
- Nokia 8
- Samsung Note 8
- LG V30

Is there anything else I'm missing?
What would you recommend?

None, as some if not all of them are a bit overrated. Going either Pixel 2 or P20 lite.
