You guys make a fuss about the memory bus width... when all you need to worry about is the actual application performance!
It's like as if you guys are trying to compare an AMD CPU running at 5GHz, when the Intel CPU is only running at 3.4GHz, and then you'll go and recommend the AMD CPU just because it has more GHz, when in fact the Intel CPU would be the better choice.
+1 to what Archer said in terms of the drivers. Previously when you tried to run Linux, Nvidia was the preferred choice in terms of drivers. Nowadays I'd prefer AMD because you can actually rotate your screen from within the AMD Control Panel, where as with NVIDIA you have to edit a config file! Secondly, some AMD cards are supported by Hackintosh
