Howzit Everyone

Quick one, I recently bought a MacBook Air M1. Now based off your personal experience should I insure it with my current insurance provider or is the offered istore insurance also just as good. My thinking is to use istore so in the event I need to claim at some point my premiums don't go up on my main insurance.

Any feedback would be great

Thanks

I've been in the industry for 39yrs and I would never insure through a service provider/bank etc.

I would also only insure through the traditional insurers like Bryte, OMI, Hollard, Santam and yes sometimes they look expensive but in most cases the covers are better, the excess's cheaper and the client handling is better.

Naturally if one is a habitual claimer things change and you have fewer options.

Ok makes sense, thanks.

Yeah I never claim unless I absolutely have to.

Insure everything with one insurer.

Premiums go up based on risk and history. If nothing else goes wrong odds are they don’t even go up or it’s so marginal you don’t even notice.

Also premiums go up sometimes whether you claim or not, it’s just got how it works.
