Doesn't help couriers when the break bulk is not operating ( as it is currently). Couriers primarily handle small, to the home shipments. Break bulk is currently locked down save for the existing essentials list which is not many of them.

Basically remove all restrictions on the sale of goods but restrictions on restocking non essential items.
Also needs a way to restrict panic buying.
 
I agree, remove all restrictions, bar the ones ontravel and socializing. Keep night clubs etc closed, but dont stop people from buying what they need/desire.

Allow us to buy anything and everything.

Why the fvck can't I buy some beers and house paint? Why can't I buy clothes?
 
Jogging, walking dogs and any other activity where a there is no close contact.
 
School material, printers, ink etc...
Whilst some members od society are using matches to burn down schools, those keen to learn need to.

Where are you from?

My dad is in a similar situation. He is stuck in CPT, home is Durban. He was in CPT on a work trip before the lockdown and his return flight was canceled by Safair the day before lockdown. He has been living in a B&B since then.

I can imagine that you and thousands of others like him just want to get home somehow now that the lockdown has been extended.

Besides the loneliness, there is the practicality of the situation. Spending a lot of money on hotels and B&Bs during an uncertain economy is not feasible long term.

Hey, from Jhb, came down for a wedding the weekend before lockdown and was to travel back on the lockdown weekend, now stuck here and trying to arrange a permit, apparently thats the only thing allowing us to cross over.
 
Purchase restrictions should be lifted. If a shop is open during lockdown you should be able to buy whatever they have in stock.
 
you can buy any measure of protein shake , fat burner or creatine, But you cant order a set of resistance bands to actually do the physical exercise. Cant order dumbells or plates.

If anything I would say health at home and exercise IS an essential practice for those who don't want to come out of this 30kg heavier

I am the opposite as I've sold my property and it was due for lodgement on Mar 24th so they go and stop everything days before they were due to close!!! Why they can't run a skeleton staff is beyond me and this is one sector where the government rake in millions in taxes same as cigs and booze! At this rate I'll START smoking!

I feel your pain.. I'm staying with a friend and am waiting patiently for them to open..
 
Do the new regulations allow DIY capable homeowners to purchase plumbing supplies for essential plumbing repairs.
Amendmend point 6 indicates only qualifief tradesmen, but point 7 says any "entity".Screenshot_20200417-062557_Drive.jpeg
