I want to start playing with Mikrotik. I want to start installing them on networks I support. I basically want to monitor whats going on, on the networks. View IP usage and block some websites.
Which mikrotik do I use to do this? And what other useful features do they have that I can use?
Cost more or less??
Thanks for any replies :)

I started with the RB750, it's a 5 port with an enclosure and power plug, it doesn't have wireless and no mini pci slots..

Cost is about R350 ex vat

Check Scoop Distribution, they the cheapest AFAIK

You need a dealer account to buy from Scoop. Rather try Uniterm (http://www.dbg.co.za/), they have a good selection and they sell direct to the public. I've always had excellent service from them.

The RB750GL is also nice. It has GigE ports all round and has a little more juice on the CPU. Works out only slightly more expensive than the RB750 and is probably more future proof.
