Had Telkom Mobile and Cell C and MTN before.
Vodacom still best when it comes to coverage
 
Area and cell congestion dependant...

I am currently on Telkom, works well at home and work, but if I am in area with crappy signal, I force roaming on MTN by setting the phone/modem to WCDMA only.
 
i have been with mtn for 16 years now and never really had issues with the network. adding to that the fact that i can use afrihost data is great
 
I'm quite happy with Vodacom, but am not sure how representative that is of them being a "better network" as I've only ever been on Vodacom.
 
Vodacom by far ! Although they not cheap as far as data is concerned , they have excellent coverage. Never been happier since I moved from MTN
 
hands down i would say vodacom, always great signal and speed however , i prefer telkom now, signal great so is the speed, and most importantly the price difference between telkom and vodacom put telkom way ahead in the game.
 
Why join a network that overcharges, when there is a better service provider like Telkom available.
 
Like many, I changed to Cell C when they dropped the prepaid "BIS" package price, only to change to Vodacom about 8 months later due to endless connectivity issues with Cell C. I have a contract MTN phone (my old BB is just for chatting and surfing), but, honestly, I have better signal and service from Vodacom. As soon as my MTN contract is up, I'm ditching that sucker and getting myself a Vodacom contract!
 
Vodacom is the worst.... By far compared to any cell phone provider in the world.

I switched to FNB, port my number, I pay Allot less, R450 +/- for unlimited calls and much more data!! So far so good, but Vodacom won't see me again.

I originally decided to change service providers because of cost, but became determined to rid myself of them because of their bad attitude and poor call centre staff.
 
Cell C roaming agreement with Vodacom gives them excellent coverage as long as you enable data usage while roaming. Changed from MTN (Crap support, illegal charges to my account, morally bankrupt).
 
MTN - only network I have ever known. It has its problems but I suppose any other network does too. MTN MTN MTN!!!
 
Why there so many very low post count voting... did I miss something?
