which one? ps3, wii or xbox360

Well motorstorm is looking quite cool and I saw a review of Naughty Dog or something like that which also looks decent...

But they will never have Halo/Gears of War or Crackdown so I am not looking at getting one anytime soon.

Seriously the developers will always develop for the biggest console base. Currently that is the 360.

If the PS3 ever does overtake it then you may have a point, however by that time the PS3 might be a reasonable price and then I will buy one.

I am not anti-Sony I am anti-Paying over R6500 plus extra controllers and only being able to buy 1 game. Then being told I won't have force feedback in my racing games.

In 2 years if PS3 is outselling the 360 and it costs less than R4000 then I might get one....

The question is what to buy now.
The 360 is miles ahead and will be well into next year at the least. It has a 9 million unit head start and over 200 games available already.

wow... you so dumb, of coarse the xbox 360 is miles ahead of the ps3, thats becuase its got a Whole YEAR head start to running :p . no but seriously, the xbox360 has had more time to get ready and get the problems all ironed out, remember the xbox360's online service also had a shakey start, and playing online isn't quite a good idea in sa due to the high bandwith costs and the outragouse slowness at times(yes even the 1024mb/s gets very slow in northcliff).

and the good thing is that sony already has an awesome update service where the psp had got it down to about a month to twice a month and they added good things on. the ps3 is more flexable interms of updates coz more features can be added and i will give it 6 months for the ps3 to have more features then the xbox360

yay here we have another Sony fanboy who is expecting greater things of the PS3 than Sony themselves. Maybe you should let them know how they are going to get the PS3 online service to have more features than Live!..

You have obviously not played online in SA through Xbox Live!? Even on a dodgy iBurst connection I experienced no lag in Gears of War and Rainbow 6 Vegas with 8 people online... Not to mention the fact that we have hundreds of South Africans playing online on a daily basis using the ADSL 384 line without any lag...

So why don't you go peddle your childish PS3 fanboy nonsense somewhere else..

Or at least come with some valid points to discuss...

First of all you have no idea if I have used a PS3 yet do you :D

Secondly I personally want them both to sell 30 million units. That is the best option for all gamers.

I just don't like the PS3 fanboys who write cr@p with no backings and make outlandish statements about things they obviously don't know anything about...

Well I like Nintendo so much that I have NEVER played anything.....and actually only ever seen a Sony console on like three times.....I lie, I played GTA on a PS2 for about five minutes ONCE....thats about it!! Sony is crap and a waste of time!!!

As much as I enjoyed the PS2 I wouldn't say it was the best console. Best seller yes. It also had the most games which only goes to prove that being the best doesn't mean you are going to win the war.

The Xbox 1 and GameCube where better consoles than the PS2 but they didn't have the games to go with it which is why they lost terribly.

However the PS3 is supposed to be the most powerful console in this gen but they don't seem to have the games... role reversal...

Doubt it, there millions waiting for the PS3, even though the Xbox is out, theres still potential buyers out there, as for games, thats a given there WILL be games available.

Well, let's be frank, If you've played a PS2, (actually more like a PSOne because it doesn't have rumble) you've "played" a PS3 - The interface is exactly the same, currently most of the games have no online and most games are sequels anyway. So yeah, prettier PS2. (As far as SIXAXIS goes, it also doesn't count, I had a Saitek for my PSone and an MS sidewinder that did exactly the same thing back in the day)

unlike the 360 which is a different interface (controller) has wicked online, movie downloads, IPTV and a lot of original content.

PS2 was a turd......I have limted time to play games, so when I choose to sit down with one, it needs to be worth playing. Nintendo offered that kind of service. Many of the games I played on Gamecube were so good that if I had only everbought that game, the expense fo teh gc would have been jutified.

PS2 on teh oter hand just had thousands of games, many of which were clones. If you played one game of a certain type, you probably played them all. I have no doubt there were a few good games on the PS2, but IMO Sony has a bad image. As far as I am concerned, Sony consoles,PS1 and PS2, were for little kids and yuppies who knew nothing bout gaming.

With the PS3 SOny is a more sound, competent player in the videogame market and PS3 sales will not be attributable only to their marketing campaign, like with PS1 and PS2. Sony can and do make good content, I am just not interested in what they have to offer. Nintendo have been in the game the longest and I am an ardant supporter. Sont is just crap, buying a Sony PS1 and PS2 was like buying a Brittany Spears CD. Buying a PS3 Is excusable I suppose!!?!?!

Yup..thats right!! Oh wait no!! Sony is the only console maker to have brought out a pacman console game.....and I have not playe dpac n Roll on DS...yet...

Nintendo's superiority is evident in their ability to imrpove and innovate. Sony immitate. Instead of spending money on R&D and innovation, they spend twice as much on marketing and viola!!

Lets look at PS1 versus N64. The N64 could render proper 3D graphics and the games that came out were outstanding. Yet due to their whole, "we're so cool" ad campaign the PS1 sold by the truckload. Same way Brittany SPears sells million of copies.

PS2, more of the same, no innovation, just copied what Nintendo did, with the whole force feedback, analog stick thing. Now SOny heard Nintendo doing the whole motion sensative, so what do sony do, the bang up some kind of motion senstivity non-sense . I'll be honest and say that when I heard about the motion sensativity on the Wii, I was anxious and dissappointed. But the instant I got my hands on it, you cold feel the whole motion thing was SOLID.....

The japanese like to imitate, and Sony is [a] perfect example/proof of this.....
