Which PC upgrade is best

Spec 1;

Asus Prime B350-Plus
Ryzen 1600
2x4gb DDR4 3200
Raidmax Monster II

R7,700~

Spec 2;

Gigabyte GA-B250M-D3H
i5 7500
2x4gb DDR4 2666
Raidmax Monster II

R6,900~

This leaves me for R800 headroom to upgrade whatever, better mobo, better CPU, better case or an extra component like a small M.2 SSD or whatever. Maybe even a nice LED kit for my case.

R4,500~

This saves me like R3200, but it's not that big of an upgrade, well maybe it is. Going from i3 2120 - i3 7100?
There's a lot I can do with R3200 as well, save for a GPU, save for a monitor.
I could swap out that i3 for an i7 then and basically get R7,700 again but what's the point of going i7 for gaming anyways. Or I could get a nice m.2 SSD.

My current specs are identical to my current sig minus the 500gb SSD (RIP).
 
Also I'd like to run some benchmarks before upgrading and after to see the diff in performance. Any idea what benchmarks to run?
