+-R600 D-link DSL-2750U ADSL2+ modem + wireless router + 4port 10/100 switch , 802.11b/g/N , 300mbps , 1x Usb for printer / storage (flash drive only) / USB3G ; ADSL2/2+ : 24Mbps downstream / 1Mbps upstream , with WPS button , 64/128bits WEP , WPA+WPA2; 2x antenna http://www.dlink.co.th/products/?idProduct=495

Top notch local telephonic support Mon - Fri 08h00 - 22h00.

They're all on the forum too. www.mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/415242-Welcome-D-Link-to-the-forums

As usual I will second this... I have one and it's great.

There's only one *-Link I trust. ;)

If the TP can be had for cheaper, and the buyer is a techie, then of course no need for support so it would also be a great buy.

Awesome guys!

How is the range on that D-link?

Also, anybody know a place where I can buy it in Cape Town and collect from them or maybe free delivery?

I went from a billion 400G (?) and it added a bar to my signal... but more importantly it is very fast. But I'm sure thats because I went from g to n.

PostmanPot is great to deal with, got my D-Link from him and i am faaar away in KZN :D. +1 recommended.

As far as wireless goes, i have yet to play around with it again but its decent for the thick walls in and around the house here. Its more a per user experience since you may have thinner walls :P.

Okay, PM me and will sort you out today.

Judging from the noise coming through the walls from the neighbours... i think it's quite thin :-)

I had a old router where i did not have to put my isp login details into the router. I just manually connected to whichever isp account I had from my laptop or xbox. I use different accounts. Is this possible with this D-link router?

Or does anybody know what this function is called?

** PM Sent Postmanpot :-)

Hmmm I haven't quite figured out how to do that yet... also used to be able to do it on my billion.

Thank(s) Yuu. :)

Dialing up to accounts manually is called Bridge Mode - could be what's being referred to?

I have both the D-Link 2750U and TP-Link TD-W8960N. At the moment the TP-Link TD-W8960N is lying in the cupboard. I cannot sort out the problems related to the unstable internet connection and downloads, so I am back with the D-Link.

The Wi-Fi on the TP-Link was stronger than the D-Link initially, but since I added a range booster it doesn't matter any more.

I am busy trying to sort out the TP-Link issues with their technical support team, because it is an excellent modem otherwise.
