Yeah you can.
@Pornolio, I really think what they've done with pets for Locks and Hunters is really great.
Hunters have so much more to tweak on their pets and so many more options.
It's really great.

You can shadowmelt AFTER you've started eating/drinking, so that you are in stealth while healing up. If you start to eat/drink while in shadowmelt you'll break stealth.
