I dont even know where to go anymore as im losing my mind. I requested to move my fibre line to a new house on 2 Dec. On 4 Dec, vumatel came to trench and run the fibre from the street. All dandy i thought. I have been trying to get details from Mweb from then until now and i have no connection 22 days since i placed the order. First the line was linked to Webafrica and not Mweb even though i did all of this through the mweb website, this took 2 weeks to sort out, with all the work being done by me. I phoned Webafrica and I phoned Vumatel to get it sorted. Eventually i got a serial number from Vumatel after going to twitter to complain.

I gave this to Mweb and apparently this has solved the line issue, mweb can now see the line, its active, but now they say i must wait for the mysterious moving department to activate my account. This moving department i dont think even exists. You never hear from them.

I have phoned them every day for 2 weeks, being on hold for 30mins before someone even answers the phone, then i get put on hold while they read the numerous notes on the call, then i either get cut off, or i get told to give them 24 to 48 hours, not sure what math class you guys went to but 22 days is a lot more than 24 hours yet i still have no account details or activation or even an sms from this mysterious moving department.

I cant wait to dump you okes on your a$$'s and move to another ISP. If it wasnt for the time of year i would have done it already but here i sit with a house full of family and no f&*(&#ing internet.

As i type this i am on hold again with the call center.... wasting more time and money. If there is anyone with contacts to help with this im all ears.

EDIT: i see this might be in the wrong section sorry admins

Presumably if they've not activated it, they've not yet charged you for anything, yet ?

Either way, I'd tell them to cancel it for their more than useless service, and if they suddenly charge you, fight them on it.

Then go elsewhere, to recommended ones on this forum - Afrihost, Cool Ideas etc. - those that have a good presence here & generally get things sorted ASAP when stalling at their offices / call centres.

Happy to assist.
