So apparently Harrier is basically Bains before it's second maturation. Bains is aged 3 years then 2 years in new barrels. Harrier doesn't get those extra 2 years in new barrels. Well that's how I understood it when I did the tour there. Is also a grain whisky (maybe 1% malt) aged the minimum 3 years
Is funny that they don't display it anywhere on the building at the distillery or have any displayed at the tasting roomI see it is also made by Sedgwick distillery.

probably a hidden Harrier logo near the drains where they pour down spoiled / ruined batchesIs funny that they don't display it anywhere on the buioding at the distillery or have any displayed at the tasting room![]()
Same way Van Ryns don't really advertise that they make Viceroy. Is funny that they don't display it anywhere on the building at the distillery or have any displayed at the tasting room![]()
Ya suppose, but you can at least buy viceroy at van rynsSame way Van Ryns don't really advertise that they make Viceroy.

TASTE
On the Nose:
A warm, delicate, inviting nose with hints o f hone y, toffee and biscuity sweetness.
On the Pallet:
A well-balanced whisky which serves a gentle sweetness reminiscent from being predominantly grain driven. Followed by spicy notes that develop from the minimum three years spent in American Oak bringing with it, coffee, cereal and a light smokiness.
Finish:
A soft, easy sipping whisky, with crisp flavours from the perfect balance between spirit and oak delivering a long, clean finish.
Very nice thanks for sharing. Not sure if this has been posted before.

Shipping is easy, check your cart when you add bottles and it'll give you the shipping costs.how much would shipping be from Master of Malt to SA?
and how much extra are duties and VAT?
So just as an example:Shipping is easy, check your cart when you add bottles and it'll give you the shipping costs.
Vat is 15%, customs and excise has not exceeded 5%, there's fixed costs from DHL(clearance fees/multi-line extra fees) that's around R400. Some guys have been charged early clearance fees or port authority, I haven't been charged those.
Shipping is cheaper the more bottles you have in your order.

Add 15% Vat on the value of the booze.
