Was this an Aficionado's tasting? I saw you mention it earlier and went to their site, but did not see anything there.

Looking forward to Wade Bales Whisky & Gin Affair however...

It's hidden under the "other fun stuff" menu. It's usually easier to pick it up from the mailing list. Looks like there should be some compass box and springbank coming in the future as they are also marketed by the crowd that did the teeling tasting.

I put 5 blocks of ice in my Whiskey last night. Tasted awesome and I'm still alive this morning...

Opened the Nadurra last night... not sure why, but I was disappointed compared to the 'normal' Glenlivet.

I also found that the Nadurra smelled better than it tasted

Morning folks

I was wondering, any links to favourite sites that sells whiskey?

I am looking for a special present for a 40th, I specifically want to give him a bottle of Kavalan, either the Solist Vinho Barrique, or the Solist Amontillado.

I tried these already:

http://www.bottleshop.co.za/taiwanese-whisky/ (they have a good couple but seems exorbitantly expensive, almost R300 more than others with similar whiskies)
https://www.aficionados.co.za (supposedly importers/distributors of Kavalan, but they only do the normal one)
https://www.ngf.co.za/catalogsearch/result/?cat=0&q=KAVALAN (even more expensive, but also not what I want)

I know I will way about R2000 so I am not too fussed, luckily I have time on my side so I can shop, even order from an overseas site (though I have no ideas what customs will do to me!)

I am stuck on Kavalan - I mean the mentioned 2 won best single malt in 2015, and 2016 in the world, so not really looking for recommendations on other whiskies.
