Tried this last night. Its good but not great, would give it a 3.75 out of 4. They suggest flavours of Candy floss and Licorice, didn't get that but did get notes of bourbon, must be from one of the blends being in american oak. Like that they are experimenting though. Will see ho the next one goes.
Had the IPA experiment a couple months ago was around the same score I bought some IPA beer to pair with it. The beer paired well but you couldn't really get any hoppy notes on the nose as they suggested.

That west cork isn't too bad if I recall correctly. Should all be right up your alley not a hint of peat to be found anywhere.
yeah sorry i didn't mean blend as in blended malt i meant when they blended the whiskys together some of them (most as you say) were from Bourbon casks, you can definitely taste that20 of Glenfiddich's brand ambassadors choose a Cask each to create the Project XX. If I remember correctly, 19 of them chose Bourbon casks and there was only 1 person who chose a Sherry Butt. All of the casks were Single Malt. The Project XX is a Single Malt as all the whiskies are from Glenfiddich.
Where did you buy the west cork 10 year?
Makro
Dalem give me your price on the Chivas 3.78l?
Shot!
Picked up a bottle of Lagavulin 16 from Heathrow duty free for about R700 and got gifted a bottle of Bunnahabhain 12. I'm quite interested to see how they compare to the lovely Ardbeg 10... Ron Swanson can't be wrong can he?

That's my next Ardbeg to try.. The 10 never disappoints thoughI have all those on my shelf here at home. So I am only jealous re. that price for the Lagavulin 16.
My absolute favourite Ardbeg is the Corryvreckan, but it's cask strength so must be "used" very carefully.
