I found this on a recent trip to America.

Anyone know where I can find some of this?

Not sure if the prices are great, but check it... Reciprocal Wines have a special.

Anyone want to join in the Bruichladdich? :wtf:

Good Morning

So I need a bit of advice for a "for me, from me" gift.

My every day Whiskey is Tullamore Dew.
I also have Glenmorangie and Tullamore Dew 12 year for special occasions.

I can't decide between the following: Talisker 10 Year, Laphroaig 10 Year or Teeling Small Batch.
I also might convince myself to get Bruichladdich Classic Laddie

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Regards

Following your taste profile teeling is probably the safe bet. If you're want to get into something Peaty then I'd start with the laphroaig 10. If you're not used to Peaty stuff then go buy a shot at the bar.

You can probably also look at some sherried whisky. Glenfarclas or glendronach are good starting points.

That classic laddie is good, but there is so much else for that money. Kilchoman Machir Bay for example or bunnahabhain 12.

Thank you morkhans, I will try the Peaty stuff at the bar and then make my decision. Will also have a look at the Kilchoman Machir Bay and Bunnahabhain 12.

If you enjoy Glenmorangie (Lasanta FTW), then perhaps try Macallan Amber. I'm also a fan of Tullies for the daily dram.

Those are both lightly peated, but will be a really nice intro if you get a taste for it.

Thank you flarkit. I would LOVE to try the Macallan Amber, but it is REALLY expensive. I will write a special note to Santa.

The "1824" edition's price is similar to the Laphroaig 10, but the Ernie Button release is more.

Just posting to echo the Lasanta punt. Tasted it last week at the whiskey festival. Amazing stuff with a very unique taste. I would rate it second to Johnny Green, only.
