The Blanton's gold is almost R1000 now, was worth it at R600 a few years ago. Got this on the weekend when I bought the GWC's dad's collection. Oh, also got a bottle of Bulleit open.

Yeah, normal Blanton's is at the R600 price point these days

What would it cost now versus when it was in stock? Judging by the prices on Masterofmalt it would have cost a lot less to bring it in yourself when it was in stock. There's still some bottles in stock on Masterofmalt.

MoM can't ship GoT range to SA due to some retarded licensing / distribution restriction.

Then you drink too little.

I called my broker last week to make inquiries since my collection has grown in value. i don't think they do this much because i was told that they can add it to my householder's insurance but I will need proof of purchase for each bottle insured . I explained to them that this would not be possible and that they would have to send out an assessor to verify the collection. Anyway, I must first do a stocktake and replacement value assessment before I can insure.

Drink!

My broker just said "add it to the list and add an estimate". So I did. There's not a lot, but she said "write it all up". So I wrote it all up.

Take pictures and keep the pictures safe. I don't see why they would need proof of purchase.

And here I was hoping the GoT gimmicks were over.

You probably have to put the fire version in the microwave or over the coals to unlock baby dragons or some special molecule that turns your ice blocks into dragon eggs.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if anyone was taking the piss and I couldn't be bothered to waste my time and energy to figure out if it was true.

These two are a bit late to the party eh? I honestly think it's a clever ploy by Diageo to empty some casks that don't quite fit in their main products...

I saw an advert on Instagram for Ardbeg day and it lists several venues but I didn't even know anything was happening outside of whiskybrother's event!?

A bit late indeed, most ppl have picked up the white walker, didn't care much for it. But the other two are releasing quite late. Show is over now, hype is slowly dwindling and book isn't really on the near horizon.
