Hi Guys,

I still have these 2 lots of Whisky left.
We are leaving JHB in a few weeks time and I need to get rid of the stuff.

If you are interested and willing to make a reasonable offer, let me know and we can chat.

All bottles are unopened and 100% original.

PM me if possible

I opened the Jameson IPA last night and had a couple of toots. To be honest, I’m very much on the fence as it had such an unusual quality that you’d be forgiven for thinking you are drinking a bourbon rather than a traditional malt/grain blend. It’s smooth enough, and I found a dash of water more to my taste.

I love an IPA, but this had nothing to suggest it had any hoppy influence at all.

A visit to Bottega always results in a lighter pocket :(

Look at the colour on that....

I haven't drank out of this bottle but I have had this on 2 previous occasions and it's magnificent. I mnaged to get the last bottle.

Man. 46%, unchill filtered, uncoloured in a sherry hogshead, single cask bottling... What did you pay?

I would suggest trying a drop of water and leaving the glass covered for 20~ mins (Ralfy hack that he mentions in his only review of Three Ships 10 (previous version)). I honestly got nothing out of the stout edition until I did that, then I found I didn't like the stout influence! xD

I didn't mind so much with the water, I'll leave it longer next time. As I said, for me it's like a bourbon smell and taste, and I drink my bourbon with a cube of ice. I think this might benefit in the same way.

Oh, Bottega has a bottle of the new Ardbeg 19yo. He only had the one which is being sold by the tot at R290 each. I didn’t try it.

Most expensive whisky in my collection is a Dalwhinnie 15YO 1l. It took courage to press "Add to Cart", and it was on special. I'd LOVE nice whiskies, but reality is I simply can't afford them, hence WHISKY CLUB!!!

My two most expensive are my Ardbeg Galileo and Glenfiddich Winter Storm - Batch 1

As opposed to a red wine review (Syrah and Pinot Noir especially), I don't yet after 10 or so years enjoying whisk(e)y have the ability to isolate the qualities of a taste like others do. I could not with the Stout Edition pick up any stout flavors - and I enjoy a good real stout.
I could however immediately pick up the IPA characteristics with this IPA Edition - and I don't like an IPA!
Will I buy one again? Probably not. I like the Stout Edition for just being different to the normal vanilla Jameson that remains my go-to dram:confused:
