TENNESSEE BOURBON 13 YEAR OLD WB

View attachment 1116580
Together with our friends at Single Cask Nation, an American-based independent bottler, we've selected a single barrel bourbon from an undisclosed Tennessee distillery! Distilled in July 2006, matured for 13 years in a charred, American oak virgin cask, and bottled in 2020. Only 108 bottles were produced. Non-chill filtered, naturally coloured and bottled at a cask strength of 56.3%.

Does anyone know (or have a gut feel) what distillery this WB release this comes from?
Just buy it...it is incredible.

I see the special is over...you could've saved R300 a few days ago.

Yes I know this is a Whisky thread...BUT, fellow whisky drinkers. If you ever want to drink a Rum on the same level as some of the best Single Malts in the world this is it!! I am blown away...no water...no ice. That ABV is as smooth as butter.

When I think of Rum I think of Red Heart, huge hangovers and a stink on my body that I cant help.

I had similar thoughts of Whisky long ago until I started to do more research and tasting where I found out that my dads J&B with soda water is not what whisky is about so hey, might just give some Rum a go also thanks.

Maybe it is time we meet again so I can give you some Rum samples?

On my second bottle. The bottle itself is also lovely - glass stopper so great for future infinity bottle.

Oh very cool. Look forward to cracking it. This will be my first "proper" bourbon I am trying - because Jack from my varsity days doesn't count :)

I think the next set of SMWS bottles will launch early next week. I have no idea why I love the intrigue so much... but I do. Also doesn't hurt that the whisky is top-drawer!!

You and me both - there is a bottle in the next release that I really want for a tasting.

Mmm... able to give any further hints? ;)

I am unfortunately taking the old school route of looking what has been released in Aus and the UK recently to try and pick up any trends as they seem to bottle batches from the same distilleries at the same time (which makes sense). But with the festival bottlings last time I was always going to have a good shot at guessing right! Haha.
