Terrible Whisky is terrible Whisky...facts. There is world wide consensus about this travesty that JW bottled to cash in on the GoT nonsense...and it has backfired terribly.
I prefer to try for myself, but to be fair there were quite a few riding the GOT bandwagon. I'm not saying the WW was magnificent, but with some ice and a dash of water it was passable. Better than a lot of other blends in fact. Did you try it and what with?
PS. Having a once of Smokey Cokey has absolutely nothing to do with drinking terrible Whisky...so not sure what was attempted with that comment.
I guess I just can't be doing with someone else telling me what I like or don't like. It's nothing but snobbery. Especially when you may or may not have a few debatable tastes of your own.
You should try an Ardbeg 10 Old Fashioned....or a Laphroaigh Whisky Sour. Absolutely amazing.

Sure I enjoy both cocktails and I'm sure I've posted me enjoying both of those on this thread. I usually take a whisky made for mixing though rather than waste the good stuff, but as I said, each to their own. And for me, Coke and a good Islay, no thanks. Totally pointless, I'd much rather have it on it's own.
Should we not just all be enjoying what we enjoy? Surely we can't all enjoy the same stuff. Someone posted that Toki the other day and said it was nice. Jibbers, the worst stuff I've tasted in a long time but he likes it, good on him.
Sorry bud, but whisky snobbery is like a red rag to a bull for me. We all love our whisky, thankfully not all the same stuff and style though.
Really not trying to argue, your contribution here is massive and I really enjoy it. Maybe just best to ignore me and move on, but I had to get that off my chest
